As I mentioned yesterday, today I have been working with my films almost more than 6 hours. Developing went quite smoothly, but scaning used the majority of time. I had 3 35 mm B&W films (Kodak Tri-X 400, Fuji Neopan CN 400, Ilford Delta 400) and two 120 films (Same Kodak Tri-X 400 and Kodak T-Max 400). During the holidays I wanted to see and make an experiment with different kind of films, however I wasn’t able to see big differences between tonality and contrast. I would guess, that for reall differences you should be processing with exact chemicals dedicated either for kodak films or ilford and enlarge photographs to see the details. Ilford Delta 400 showed weakest results in tonalities and contrast in comparing with others, but perhaps that is because I used this film with Yashica Electro 35 GSN. Old camera with an old lens, perhaps a slightly wrong exposure, no lens hood made some influence for such results.
This week I will be posting some images and comenting about each film. I am going to mention, that’s possible that I have found a theme for my next year studies. For a quick example, I am adding bellow some of my taken and scaned photos from the Easter Holidays. Enjoy!
